Retail price deflation returned to domestic flooring in November.
After inflation of 0.1% in October, November saw deflation of 2.5%, according to ONS data.
After at least 10 months of constant inflation, carpets and rugs saw deflation of 2.9%.
For smooths, the position was reversed: with the sector seeing inflation (0.2%) for the first time since November 2023.
