harity auction raises £9,500

The Furniture Makers’ Company’s third annual online Christmas charity auction has raised £9,515.

The event featured more than 25 lots donated by companies and individuals throughout the furnishing sector and bidders competed enthusiastically for a broad selection of coveted items and experiences, helping to drive strong fundraising results.

The funds will help deliver welfare support for individuals and families connected to the furniture and furnishings trade, educational initiatives and skills programmes.

‘We were thrilled with the level of engagement from across the industry this year. Raising £9,515 demonstrates the generosity and strong community spirit of our supporters. Every pound raised will go directly towards supporting people working or formerly working in the UK furnishing industry through education, training and welfare grants,’ says Jonny Westbrooke, The Furniture Makers’ Company ceo.

He thanked bidders and those making donations: Blum, Boat Building Academy, Bensons for Beds, Celtheath, Designer Contracts, DFS, Dreams, Ercol, Graham Marley, Handy Ltd, Harrison Spinks, Hypnos, London School of Furniture Making, Ocee & Four Design, Sealy, Shackletons, Silentnight, Simba, Sleepeezee, Sofa Source, Tempur and Whitemeadow.
