The next IHGF Delhi Fair will have a focus on furniture, as the exhibition looks to put India’s furniture industry in the global spotlight amid growing demand.
The 61st edition of the show – 14-18 February – will be a ‘Special focus on furniture’, featuring expanded exhibition areas and dedicated halls exclusively for Indian furniture brands.
‘From established exporters to emerging innovators, the curated, theme-led showcase promises a sharper, more business-driven experience,’ says Neeraj Khanna, chairman of organiser Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts.
‘Furniture is a segment witnessing growing international demand as markets expand their sourcing of home and lifestyle products from India. Each edition draws sourcing professionals and overseas buyers from over 100 countries, connecting them with more than 3,000 leading Indian manufacturer-exporters. To meet the needs of this buyer segment and offer larger display formats to exhibitors, EPCH conceptualised the IHGF Delhi Fair – ‘Special focus on furniture. The objective is to create a single sourcing destination featuring furniture from across India, including major manufacturing hubs and clusters.
The furniture and Interior segment will span 12 categories, highlighting sustainability and innovation. ‘Buyers will discover signature collections alongside globally preferred hardwoods, cane, bamboo, reclaimed and recycled woods, driftwood, metals, alloys, stone, and material blends incorporating leather, glass, horn, bone, and more. Premium materials such as teak, Indian rosewood alongside acacia, mango wood, neem, deodar, sal, walnut, cane, and bamboo will be showcased across collections for living spaces, hospitality, workplaces, and entertainment environments. Additionally, visitors will find specialised offerings in up-cycled, restored, and industrial scrap-based furniture,’ says Khanna.
