Independent flooring retailer JBM Carpets has expanded with the acquisition of neighbouring retailer Border Flooring.
The move follows the retirement of Border owner Karl Smith.
‘Karl had a brilliant customer base and I hope they come back. I am looking forward to starting the stair runners. I think it is a niche not many people do,’ says spokesman.
Border was founded in Clayton-le-Moors, Lancashire in 1965 while fellow Lancashire retailer JBM was set up nine years ago.
