Jumbo turns to mythology for rebrand

Top-end furniture group Jumbo has turned to Greek mythology for its new name.

The Italian group, which uses the Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors, Etro Home Interiors, Gianfranco Ferré Home (pictured) and Jumbo brands and expects to achieve sales of €40m this year, has invoked Oneiros the gods of dreams in rebranding as Oniro.

‘There are moments in the life of a company when a profound analysis of the path taken since the beginning of its history is needed. In our case, this analysis coincided with a careful evaluation of how well the name and the image we projected to the outside world represented us. The former name, Jumbo Group, was linked to the past and to a company that we felt was ready to reinvent itself, to launch itself into the future,’ says Moreno Brambilla, Oniro ceo and chairman.

‘Moments like these, of great awareness, inevitably lead to significant changes, which is what we experienced in 2021. The result was a desire to undertake a corporate rebranding process, which involved a strategic and positioning analysis and culminated in the creation of a new name and a new image. We have redefined our mission, vision and values that set us apart. I am proud to say that today we are Oniro Group, guarding our heritage of market presence, skills and excellence, while enhancing it with the dream, which is the goal and nourishment of each individual project.’
