New era: Sofa Connection will ‘truly showcase’ what it can do

‘This is the year we truly showcase what we’re capable of. It’s set to be a fantastic show,’ says Sarah Oakley, who leads Sofa Connections with her husband Matt. The company is entering January Furniture Show with a
renewed sense of confidence and momentum. In recent years, Sofa Connections has evolved: a strategic rebrand, relocation to new premises, and a refreshed approach to product development, strengthening its reputation as a trusted creator of handcrafted, made-to-order furniture. These changes have paved the way for a new era.

‘This year’s showcase promises to be our most dynamic, with three models set to make their official debut. Taking pride of place in Hall 1 Stand F10 will be Highgate, Ilkley and Gaudet: three distinctive ranges that demonstrate Sofa Connection’s ability to blend contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship,’ says Sarah.

‘Each of the new models brings its own personality and aesthetic. All three are show-stoppers. We’re incredibly excited to present them. Highgate is a modern silhouette defined by its square arm and stylish piped detailing and positioned low for a grounded, elegant feel. Ilkley, by contrast, embraces a classic character with subtle modern influences. Its bandage arm has been carefully shaped to offer both visual appeal and exceptional comfort, making it a versatile choice for a wide variety of interiors.’

‘Gaudet marries timeless design with contemporary refinement. Featuring a set-back arm, traditional castors and newly developed feather seat and back cushions, it offers a luxurious yet familiar experience,’ says Matt.

‘Craftsmanship is central to Sofa Connections’ identity. The new collection represents an important step forward. We’re proud to produce our furniture here in the UK. Supporting local talent allows us to maintain the highest standards while offering customers furniture that’s genuinely built to last.’ The show will also see an expanded selection of fabrics and finishes.

From rich textures to contemporary colour stories, the range has been created to reflect shifting trends in modern interiors while staying true to the company’s longstanding focus on comfort and durability.
