Showcase: Shire Beds’ introductions are based on retailer insight

Shire Beds is preparing for a major showcase at JFS, with new ranges based on its experience as a private-label manufacturer and shaped by retailer insight and consumer expectation.

‘For nearly 30 years, Shire Beds has quietly powered the success of retailers large and small, manufacturing mattresses that underpin retailers’ reputations and drive repeat business. While consumer-facing brands evolve and retail landscapes shift, Shire Beds has remained the dependable engine behind many of the UK’s leading instore sleep offerings. The ability to collaborate closely with retailers – designing products tailored to their market positioning, price strategies and customer demographics – has set us apart in an increasingly competitive sector,’ says Fara Butt, Shire Beds director.

‘January Furniture Show is the ideal stage to demonstrate this partnership first approach. This year’s new ranges, kept tightly under wraps until launch, have been developed not just to impress consumers, but to help retailers strengthen their own brand identity. From refreshed comfort technologies and natural material options to enhanced durability and improved manufacturing efficiencies, each new product is built with the retailer’s name, success and long-term strategy in mind.’

Central to Shire Beds’ offering is its sales team, who understand the nuances of private-label development, regional retail challenges and the commercial realities of modern mattress retailing. This insight forms a crucial bridge between the retailer and the factory, ensuring ranges are desirable to customers and profitable and scalable for the retailer, with the collaborative process refined over many years.

Mattresses created under a retailer’s name are made by Shire Beds’ skilled West Yorkshire manufacturing workforce, who take pride in their deep technical knowledge and craft. From hand-tufting to precision stitching, the team ensures that every private-label product meets the high standards associated with Shire Beds: allowing retailers to build a on quality they can trust. ‘This year’s launches represent our continued commitment to innovation, responsible manufacturing and helping retailers grow with confidence,’ says Butt.

Visitors to the stand on Hall 5 G20 will also be able to explore expanded customisation options, flexible delivery programmes and enhanced support services designed specifically for retailer owned collections.

‘In a market where British-made products, reliable supply chains and strong manufacturing partners are more important than ever, Shire Beds is positioned as an invaluable ally.’
