UKAS-accredited testing house FIRA International is opening its doors next month for another Open Day.
The latest event will be held on 18 May at its Stevenage premises. The highlight for many previous delegates has been the behind-the-scenes tour, giving the opportunity to see testing taking place across the flammability, structures, finishes and ergonomics laboratories.
The Open Day session includes an overview of furniture testing, FIRA Gold Certification, technical services and ergonomics, alongside an understanding of FIRA International’s work on behalf of the Furniture Industry Research Association.
There will be opportunities to ask the experts as part of an open Q&A. Then the sessions conclude with a behind the scenes tour of FIRA International’s new 17,723sqft site, including seeing flammability tests in action, an overview of the structures test bay, an insight into how their experts test finishes for worktops and the ergonomics laboratory.
