Oxfordshire independent furniture retailer Bennetts Family Furnishings is to close in March, after 35 years of trading.
The family-owned business has agreed to sell the Warwick Road site.
The Banbury retailer will close the 12,000sqft store on 12 March and end operations at the end of April.
After 35 years of successful trading, we have decided now is the time to put away the marker pens and hang up the sale signs for the last time. It’s been a privilege to serve so many special customers, but, with the cost of living crisis and looming additional costs and taxes combined with an offer on our freehold the stars have aligned and allowed us to plan a successful exit from retailing.’
