Profits leap at Molteni

Molteni Group has seen profits and sales jump by a quarter.

The group, made up of Molteni&C, UniFor and Citterio saw sales reach €460m, with EBITDA rising by the same amount in 2022 (figures were not disclosed).

Molteni&C enjoyed a 26% increase in sales to €304m, with a jump in EBITDA of 36%.

‘These exceptional figures show positive sales performance for the residential segment following the pandemic, despite increased costs and difficulties in sourcing raw materials. In the residential segment, growth in the retail channel saw further revitalisation of the network with the opening of an additional 12 Molteni&C flagship stores in 2022 and 24 planned for 2023, for a total of 120 single-brand stores in different regions. The wholesale channel strategy focuses on expanding and further enhancing the positioning of the more than 700 stores,’ says the company.

‘We are a close-knit family that maintains a dynamic and flexible company with quick, fluid decision-making processes, ideal in this turbulent international environment.  I am particularly proud of the third generation, which works together with synergy, preserving the obsession for quality within the company DNA and culture.  The first-level of professional management growth is already leading to optimisation for the future. I would like to thank Marco Piscitelli, Molteni&C ceo for the results obtained and for his hard work in implementing a comprehensive strategy,’ says Carlo Molteni, Molteni Group president.

‘The collaboration between R&D, production, logistics, sales and marketing developed by the brands determine our growth. We are satisfied with the results obtained, the new partnerships that guarantee the group’s development and the strengthening of relationships with the most prestigious international architecture and design studios such as Snohetta, Renzo Piano, Herzog & de Meuron, Foster + Partners, Vincent Van Duysen and Naoto Fukasawa. Looking towards the future, our goal is to confirm ourselves as the most complete and dynamic group in high-end design across the three main segments: residential, project and space furnishings, and work, with synergistic, complementary brands,’ says Piscitelli.
