Quarterly and monthly sales rise of flooring

The value of retail flooring sales enjoyed a double-digit rise in March and the first quarter.

The value of average weekly sales in England, Scotland and Wales jumped by 23.6% in March, on a year earlier, reaching £68,463,000. Sales were 5.47% higher than February. First quarter sales were 23.9% higher than in 2024.

Sales were 24.29% higher than the first quarter of 2023, according to ONS datal 17.37% higher than in 2022 and 372% higher than the Covid lockdown affected 2021.
