SCP is to return to Milan Design Week this summer as Salone celebrates its 60th anniversary.
After an extended break from exhibiting in Milan, SCP will return as part of Fuorisalone with the launch of designs from Philippe Malouin, Matthew Hilton and Wilkinson & Rivera, alongside a range of specially commissioned hand-made accessories from Floris Wubben, Jochen Holz and Reiko Kaneko.
The retailer and manufacturer will also showcase selection of pieces from its 2020 and 2021 collections, featuring designs from Ilse Crawford & Oscar Peña, Philippe Malouin, Matthew Hilton, Sarah Kay and Terence Woodgate.
Designs will include ‘a reclining armchair for a new generation that eschews the idea of formality,’ by Hilton; ‘a refined angular armchair design with a solid wood frame that evokes the spirit of classic modernist pieces and cleverly utilises tensile fabric to support the upholstered sections, providing an enveloping kind of comfort,’ by Malouin; ‘a solid wood coffee table by Wilkinson & Rivera in its signature decorative style,’ and ‘a sectional seating version of a design that use primary shapes in a concise way to form the base, back and seat of each piece,’ by Malouin.
From 7-12 June the company will be exhibition at the cloisters of the basilica San Simpliciano, within the Padiglione Brera complex, and as part of Milan’s Brera Design District.
SCP first exhibited at Salone in 1986.
