Heimtextil and Ambiente organiser Messe Frankfurt has suspended its Russian events, including the Moscow edition of the textiles show.
‘The Russian invasion of Ukraine poses an unprecedented threat to peaceful coexistence in Europe. Messe Frankfurt supports all sanction measures taken by the Federal Government. Against this backdrop, the Messe Frankfurt board of management decided to suspend events of its subsidiary Messe Frankfurt RUS until further notice,’ says a statement.
September’s Heimtextil Russia and Techtextil Russia were among five exhibitions planned to be held in Moscow in 2022 by Messe Frankfurt.
Heimtextil Russia was introduced 23 years ago and the 2021 event attracted 13,692 visitors while Techtextil Russia had 4,078 visitors.
