A strong performance in recent weeks has helped ScS limit the drop in orders compared with 2019.
Like for like orders rose by 23.7% in the seven weeks to 31 July, restricting the drop in orders to 6.5% in the 53 weeks period, compared with 2019. During the period stores were closed for 17 weeks. Compared with 2020, orders were 1.5% lower.
The chain says its order book is £103.5m (including VAT): £60.6m higher than 2019.
As a result of this it says its expectations for the 2021 and 2020 financial years are ahead of current market forecasts.
It will publish its financial results for the period on 5 October.
