TCC looks upwards

The Cotswold Company hopes to expand its Stamford, Lincolnshire branch by using one of the building’s upper floors.

The retailer has applied to South Kesteven District Council to convert the first floor (pictured) from storage and staff facilities to retail.

Although the building is Grade II* listed building, all but the facade and an underground Medieval crypt remain after much of the building was destroyed by fire in 1964.

The application comes it opened its first London branch, in Kingston. Ralph Tucker, TCC ceo says the opening ‘is a great milestone for the brand.’

Its 16th branch will be a 5,000sqft space at West Yorkshire lifestyle destination Redbrick.
