Computers for Flooring thrived on engaging with retailers
‘When The Flooring Show South opened its doors for the first time, it brought with it a genuine sense of energy and opportunity. For Computers for Flooring, being part of that debut was both a privilege and a highlight of the year so far,’ says Paul Williams, Computers for Flooring technical director.
Having exhibited at The Flooring Show for many years, the company felt the new southern venue offered something different: the chance to connect with businesses that had not been able to visit Harrogate, alongside long-standing customers the team had only ever spoken to by telephone or email. ‘Putting faces to names and having real conversations on the stand made for an incredibly refreshing few days. Interest in Carman, our multi-award-winning business management system, was strong throughout the show. A number of new contacts are now exploring the platform in depth, looking at how it could support their operations across sales, estimating, order processing, stock control, logistics and payment management. For businesses considering a move to a fully integrated system built exclusively for the flooring industry, the show provided the perfect opportunity to see Carman up close and ask the questions that matter most.
‘CarmanPay, our fully integrated payment solution powered by ClearAccept, continued to attract attention from new and existing visitors. The ability to take payments directly within Carman – whether in-store, remotely or online – resonated strongly with businesses looking to simplify their payment processes and improve cash flow visibility. ‘Seeing that interest first-hand reinforced the direction the platform is heading. Equally rewarding was the opportunity to spend time with existing customers. Many had made the journey specifically because the southern location was more accessible, and those conversations – covering everything from day-to-day use of the system through to future development ideas – are exactly the kind of feedback that shapes the Carman roadmap.
‘The Flooring Show South delivered on its promise of bringing the industry together in
a new setting, and Computers for Flooring is already looking forward to returning next year. It was fantastic to meet so many new faces and to finally sit down with customers we’ve supported for years but never had the chance to meet in person. The quality of conversations on the stand was excellent: people came with real questions about how Carman could fit into their business, and that’s exactly the kind of engagement we
thrive on. The southern show has absolutely earned its place, and we can’t wait to be back next year. To everyone who visited the stand, thank you, and for those who are continuing their conversations with the team, we look forward to helping you take the
next step.’
