Warehouse investment for Made.com  

Made.com is to more than double its warehousing capacity as it gears up for growth.

The first phase of a 350,000sqft warehouse in Tilbury is due to open in the summer, which the second part scheduled for completion in April next year. 

The retailer’s current warehouse at Tilbury site covers 225,000sqft and handles about 750,000 items a year.

‘Combined with our innovative just in time supply chain model, this expansion of our warehousing facility in Tilbury is an exciting step towards achieving our long-term strategy to grow the business sustainably, as we continue to invest in operational efficiency and become the design destination for digital natives.’

The new facility is expected to employ about 100 people.
