Banished: Kaymed looks to tackle lifeless foam

Kaymed will look to tackle the problem of unresponsive memory foam at this month’s Bed Show.

The company will showcase Energize, a comfort layer that becomes elastic, responsive, and easy to move on when it is warmed by body heat.

‘Energize is the first true innovation in memory foam since Gel infused memory foam. Having solved the heat concern, we’ve now addressed the number one consumer complaint – the lifeless feel – and created memory foam with energy,’ says Donal Heagney, Kaymed product development manager.

‘Traditional memory foam softens and deadens with heat. Energize does the opposite — it gets livelier. Retailers now have something genuinely new to offer. Energize will attract customers who’ve previously rejected memory foam. It’s pressure relief with personality: and we have already proven that memory foam products with added functionalities are sellers in the UK,’ says Phil McNeill, Kaymed sales and marketing director.

The company says that it will introduce cooling technologies and temperature-regulating additives as the Energize system evolves.
