Companies urged to recognise staff development and the environmental efforts

Retailers, manufacturers and suppliers have been urged to recognise the efforts they are making in staff development and the environment.

Now in their third year, British Furniture Association’s (formerly BFM) Future of Furniture Awards recognise outstanding work in four categories: the Future of Excellence in Education Award, the Future of Excellence in Sustainability Award, the Future of Excellence in ESG Reporting, and the Future of Excellence Sustainability Champion.

Although the deadline for BFA member to enter is not until mid-January, Phil Spademan, BFA md says companies should give their business the recognition it deserves and put time aside to complete their entries.

‘After Christmas, the deadline will quickly loom, so our message is to plan ahead and get the entries prepared in good time. There will be a good deal of promotion and recognition for the winners, not just from the awards’ event, but throughout the year,’ he says.

The deadline for entries is 17 January and the winners will be revealed at the Furniture Component Expo in March.

Entry details are available from the BFA’s website.
