The EU and China accounted for more than 85% of the value of consumer furniture imported into to UK in March.
Imports totalled £474m, up 9.9% on February 2024 and 0.2% on March 2024, according to ONS data.
The figure is still well short of the record for a March of £683m set in 2022.
The EU and China made up 86.26% of imports.
The top five exporting countries were China (£193.9m), Poland (£52.69m), Italy (£48.93m), Germany (£30.88m) and Vietnam (£20.53m.)
Imports from the EU totalled £215m.
The figures are at current prices, are not seasonally adjusted and are subject to revision.
