Felice Colombo, Rimadesio international sales director dies aged 53

Felice Colombo, international sales director for Italian furniture company Rimadesio died on 13 June. He was 53.

‘Over the past two years, Felice suffered from a serious form of ischemia [reduced blood flow], undergoing a major surgery in June 2020. He boldly went back to office in January 2021, despite debilitating treatments and exhausting rehabilitation programs. He continued to work passionately and uninterruptedly, always giving his best in terms of experience, quality and quantity of work,’ says a company statement.

‘Felice has always been an extraordinary point of reference, a great professional. We will always remember his seriousness, forward-thinking, honesty and dedication to work. Despite his austere appearance, Felice was extremely generous and fair with everyone, a leader on the front line, always at disposal of colleagues and customers.

‘He served as international sales director since 2001, significantly contributing to the growth of our company, entering new international markets, defining commercial rules and building a solid distribution network, made up of the best dealers and partners in the industry.

‘He was an incomparable champion in his job, an example of resilience, a great man and, above all, a true friend. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his wife Michela who took care of him with unconditioned love and strong dedication. He will be truly missed by all of us.’

His funeral will take place on Tuesday.

As well as its UK stockists, Rimadesio has its showrooms in London (pictured) and Oxfordshire.
