Roche Bobois has become the latest company to open a flagship store in Milan.
The upholstery company has relocated to the heart of the city’s design district with a 17,200sqft store on Via Felice Cavallotti.
The interior architecture of the two level space was conceived by the Roche Bobois design office. It was specifically designed to showcase the brand’s concept, collections and know-how, and includes areas dedicated to digital tools and projects.
The space is characterised by natural materials while staircases placed on either side of the floors organise the flow of visitors around a full-height shaft that serves as an interior courtyard.
To mark the opening, the Barcelona collective Wanda created an installation for the store: a white cloud of origami that spreads from the outside inwards, highlighting two new pieces from Roche Bobois: the Blogger sofa designed by Roberto Tapinassi and Maurizio Manzoni, and the Polygonia unit designed by Giacomo Garziano.
