Two interiors retailers have been hailed as being among the top SME’s in the country.
Furniturebox was ranked fourth in the Elite Business 100 Top SME Business Awards, while Mattress Online was seventh.
The bed retailer also won the Innovation of the Year Award.
‘I’m elated by the EB100 results. We didn’t expect to rank as highly or to be taking home an additional award but to be recognised nationally on this scale is incredible. We’re a retail business in a traditional market but we lead from the front with innovation and our own tech and that’s fairly rare for a retailer, especially an ecommerce retailer. We’ve built from the ground up, developed our own website, our ecommerce platform, we have our own back-end systems – all developed with the customer at the forefront.
