Ruairi Giles, Harrison Spinks commercial director is seeking to raise £5,000 for The Furniture Makers’ Company by taking part in October’s Virgin Money London Marathon.
He had originally been preparing to run the 2020 marathon in aid of the charity, but the event was cancelled due to the pandemic. Giles deferred his place to the 2021 event and is now running the marathon as part of the charity’s Step 2 It campaign.
‘The Furniture Makers’ Company is there for everyone in our industry and as awareness of the charity increases, partly due to the terrific support it provided throughout the pandemic, so does the need to raise more funds. I’m proud to be running the marathon to help continue the excellent work that the charity does,’ he says.
