Satra has invested £30,000 boosting its flooring testing capability.
It has installed a second castor test machine which will be used for assessing the performance of resilient floor coverings.
Its existing castor testing machine will now be dedicated to testing carpets and other textile flooring.
‘As 2021 progresses, we have seen increasing demand for the testing of floorcoverings. This is due to the proposed introduction of the new UKCA mark to replace the CE mark in Great Britain following our exit from the EU, and pent-up demand following the recent lockdowns. This investment demonstrates our commitment to the floorcoverings sector and will allow us to continue to offer our high level of customer support to the industry,’ says Phil Weal, Satra floorcoverings team leader.
