Glas Italia turned to eight designers for its 2025 collection unveiled at Salone: Michael Anastassiades, Ronan Bouroullec, Johanna Grawunder, Piero Lissoni, Philippe Starck, Patricia Urquiola, Tokujin Yoshioka and Yabu Pushelberg.
The collection is born from the research on the full expressive potential of glass and its shapes, experiencing finishes, colours and transparency effects and making use of the most innovative technologies.
The tables and the mirrors of Contro Peso by Bouroullec, where the thick cast glass obtains a waving and textured appearance thanks to a special casting and silver-plating process are an example of this.
Opalia by Urquiola, again picks up the subject of recycling and circularity by using recycled glass to obtain irregular glass masses moved by bubbles within the material which become beautiful thanks to their imperfections.
