Next is to buy the Cath Kidston brand and IP.
In its latest purchase of distressed brands, Next will pay £8.5m in a pre-pack deal.
The Cath Kidston website will be licenced back to the administrators for three months clear stock, prior to the brand’s relaunch under Next’s ownership.
Hilco put the brand up for sale last month, just eight months after buying it from Baring Private Equity Asia.
Next has recently bought Made.com and Joules in administration deals.
