‘Splendid ‘Alessi again turns to fashion for leadership

Alessi has again turned to the world of fashion for leadership.

The homeware and furniture company has recruited Alberto Camerlengo as as ceo.

He succeeds Daniel Talens, who left the company last December to take on the top role at luxury glass mosaic and outdoor decor firm Bisazza in February. Talens was ceo from 2019 having joined from Hermès.

Camerlengo spent the previous 13 years at leather fashion brand Furla, first as coo and general manager before becoming ceo from 2016 to 2020 and then a director.

He was previously ceo at Brooks Brothers and deputy cfo at US clothing company Casual Corner Group.

‘We are delighted to welcome Alberto to our team,’ says Alberto Alessi, Alessi president. ‘His appointment is a source of great satisfaction for us, as we are confident that his vast experience and expertise will be decisive in meeting the emerging challenges in the market. We are confident in his entrepreneurial vision, energy and interpersonal skills, which we consider essential for the achievement of our business goals.’

‘I am proud to be joining a splendid company where the culture of beauty, creativity, grace, simplicity and attention to people are the values on which it is founded and in which I recognise myself,’ says Camerlengo. ‘I am grateful for the trust placed in me to accompany Alessi to new successful goals, which I will pursue with passion and dedication.’
