Flooring and wood-based material manufacturer Egger has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Gold Medal for the first time while retaining another prestigious sustainability standard.
This is the sixth time that the sustainability performance of the group has been recognised by EcoVadis, with the gold medal status ranking it among the top 5% of all companies rated by EcoVadis across all industries globally. The assessment is based on 21 criteria, divided into environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
For the fifth time already, ISS ESG has awarded Egger Prime Status in its corporate rating, which is reserved for the best companies in their respective industries. Prime Status companies are considered sustainability leaders in their sector with Egger named industry leader.
‘To us sustainable management is not just a phrase. We have high standards for our sustainability management and our transparent reporting. We are constantly striving for improvement. We are very pleased that we have now succeeded in doing this,’ says Thomas Leissing, Egger Group cfo.
